2 August 2017: Competency based assessment: a programmatic approach
Presenter: Assoc/Prof Claire Palermo (Monash University, Australia)
Outcomes based training and assessment supports the development and judgement of the ability of students to demonstrate a defined set of skills and attributes. A programmatic approach to outcomes-based learning and assessment describes a program of learning and assessment methods, over the duration of a course, that contribute to the development and attainment of skills and attributes.
This session looked at applying a programmatic approach to assessment to ensure graduate competence.
Clair held a funded OLT Fellowship 2014-2016 "Transforming competency-based assessment in nutrition and dietetics".
