This panel session is jointly presented by Transforming Assessment and the Business Education SIG (ASCILITE).

Join a panel of International Business Educators as they explore why, when looking for rationalisation and cost savings, increased student engagement, the development of transversal skills and protection from contract cheating, authentic assessment design in Business programs that assures learning and meets rigorous accreditation requirements has become the focus of considerable attention during the pivot to hybrid and online learning.

Format (90 mins):

• Panel Introductions and sharing of experience (25 min): (Each of the five panel members will speak for 3-5 minutes evidencing their experience with implementing different forms of authentic assessment in online and/or hybrid learning environments.
• Panel Discussion (25 mins), Topics for discussion - this will be naturally flowing and topics might include:
  • Student Experience of Authentic Assessment and their Feedback Invigilation requirements and reaction from accreditation bodies
  • Role of curriculum alignment and scaffolding with assessment designs and across programs.
  • Role of technology in implementation
  • Dissemination challenges within your Business School and via ranked publications
• Padlet Design Activity (10 mins): All Participants - share ideas for authentic assessment designs in your discipline.
• Troubleshooting Authentic Assessment Design Discussion & Attendee Question Time (30mins).
